The fashion industry and the city. A possible and necessary integration.

The cities have to be connected with the fashion system. But how? The proposals are articulated on different levels, with themes and executive degrees distinguishable which can be realized at different times depending on the  different available possibilities.

The residents themselves and the more outside visitors don’t know about the fashion potentiality of their own city. It may possible to offer routes with times is minimal (short visit) is long (depth tour) depending on the possibilities and interests of each visitor.

You would suggest themed routes, connected for example to a particular event, such as a current shows (see for example a fashion show or a trade fair).

It is a truism besides obvious that the work will go cooperated in synergy with the public and the private; with local authorities, with the holders and owners of  various shops as they will need to consent to the visits, in times and procedures agreed, and the ability to publish what is proposed.

In summary, the general design proposal for each city (it must be distinguished depending on the peculiarities of each citizen centre provides, at the discretion of the operational and financial resources):

1) Formulation of thematic maps that identify a series of itineraries:

a) urban route, which circumscribes the perimeter formed by the elements that characterize the physical and historical landmark in general (such as walls or a watercourse);

b) urban route, which identifies some paths relative to the main shops / or historic windows;

c) urban route, which identifies some paths, extrapolated from the general, relative to the buildings not open to the public, but only for those who work (e.g. showrooms);

d) urban journey, which identifies some paths relative to local and historical and guesthouses or participating in the fashion industry of the city (such as local housing a collection)

e) urban route with extra moenia appliances, which identifies a number of courses leading to a significant presence outside the historic centre marked by natural or man-made boundaries (always in the cities where they are present), the suburban areas and around the village;

f) extra urban route, which circumscribes the provincial boundary.

2) Formulation of material to be distributed free of charge::

a) folding, map sheets, brochures and the like;

b) one or more leaflets, maybe inserted in one box as already offered by other companies or tourist or territorial and cultural institutions;

c) formulation of tableau, totems, inscriptions or plaques to be placed within and / or outside the sites reported in a clear recognition of its historical and artistic value;

d) development of a dedicated App.

3) Establish a coordination that promotes initiatives, coordinated cross events: the exhibition on fashion in the international sign, to those that tend to raise awareness and disseminate the least known personalities, preferably local, but who have contributed to the growth in terms of quality fashion linked to the town: library materials, illuminated, documentary, etc. object. promoting exhibitions, with associated publications, perhaps specific theme, even around a single work.

With this, it would not hurt to restore the old tradition (just read the reviews of the newspapers of the early decades of the twentieth century) that caused each year of varying nature and destination to compete for their own quality of the showcase promoting new designers temporary exhibitions, emerging, or linked a theme proposed by the citizenry.

For purposes abductees will put in place an organization that prepares and coordinates improvised figures do not assume that the function of Tourist Guide in the territory, urban and non-urban, and exhibitions may be in progress. To this end it will be necessary to involve, in addition to shops, museums, professional associations, as well educational institutions of all levels and how related to them, such as teachers, learners and consequently their families, scattered throughout the provincial and the provincial extra territory. It is always that they should be considered a fundamental concept: that these institutions dedicated to the formation of the immediate future citizens must not be removed from the urban fabric, but more and more integrated.
